Project goals:

  • Acquire strong sponsors to help organize the project seamlessly
  • Acquire a strong media partnership that is relevant to the project
  • Organize the best world championships in history both in terms of marketing and in particular the number of visitors
  • Fulfil the potential of the most important sport event of the year held in the Czech Republic
  • To be more than just a sporting event
  • To get participants to spend more days in the Vysočina Region, not just Sunday, i.e. the day of the elite – men race

Campaign:

360° integrated media campaign, covering all key mass media including TV trailers, radio spots, OOH, print and digital, started in full 3 months before the start of the race. 90% of campaign targets domestic audience, 10% through partner communication channels and social networks to foreign racers (PR, online, social networks)

Response:

  • The well-chosen accompanying program and the time of the races culminating on the weekend contributed to the fact that the Vysočina arena was filled from Wednesday to Friday and literally bursting at the seams on Saturday and Sunday
  • The most successful sporting event of the year, held in the Czech Republic
  • The huge interest of fans surpassed expectations – both on the spot and on television screens
  • Satisfaction of all project partners, potential for further cooperation
  • Not just a sporting event, but a society-wide event
